ABOUT ME

When I’m not working on research, I enjoy staying active and spending time outdoors. Running has been a long-time passion of mine—I’ve completed 16 marathons and trail runs and recently ventured into triathlons, completing my first Ironman 70.3 in 2022. I also love cycling, swimming, and exploring nature, whether it’s along the ocean, through canyons, or at the pool. Swimming has been part of my life since childhood, including competing on my college swim team during undergrad.

I’m also passionate about traveling and learning from different cultures. My work and adventures have taken me to five continents, offering incredible opportunities to explore diverse perspectives.

In addition to these pursuits, I have a strong interest in technology. I’ve taught myself tools like R Studio, Python, and web scraping, and I enjoy discovering new ways to integrate tech into my work. Finally, I have an appreciation for wine—while I’m not a sommelier, I enjoy learning about it and discovering new favorites along the way.
